Line Stopping

Line stops can be performed by Hot Tapping the pipeline and inserting a temporary plug into the pipe. Installing a Line Stop on your system enables you to perform repairs, alterations and/or relocation without shutdowns and/or costly drainage. Performing a Dual Line Stop application can isolate a section of pipe to perform work safely and efficiently. Bypass Hot Taps may be provided to continue service to your pipe system with no interruption while performing work.

Hot Tap
Two, four inch line stops, on both supply and return hot water lines, from a central plant. Several line stop tapping sleeves installed on various sized pipe, to cut and cap.
610" line stop head installed and holding back 180º degree boiler water to relocate pipeline.   24" line stop unit on ductile iron pipe.
   
 
Note

There are different types of line stop heads (folding or pivoting heads) depending on the size and type of line to be stopped. APS has the tooling to complete any type of stops you may require.
